An art book dealing with "strange" or "bizarre" paintings throughout the history of art.

The book consists of 12 different works from the 15th to the 18th century, whose "strangeness" ranges from weird and unusual artistic choices for that period, subjects that requires context or a strange story behind the scenes. Each chapter deals with a different piece of art, and presents a collection of articles that explain the story behind it.
